Protect your gardens by hydrating container plants to keep the naturally occurring antifreeze active within each plant. Water by hand if needed including trees and shrubs newly planted in the landscape since last autumn.
Set all hanging plants down on the ground. Bring simi-hardy plants next to the house and cover with a towel, sheet or blanket during the evening hours only. This also includes newly planted cold season pansies, viola, snapdragons, and vegetables like kale & spinach.
As the storm passes, it's the perfect time to feed the entire yard with Watters 7-4-4 All Purpose Food, and spread Weed & Grass preventer to eliminate this springs weeds.
